Brian is originally from MT, where he studied Dance Choreography and Performance at the University of Montana- Missoula. He first came to Iceland in 2007 from New York City, where he worked with Hilary Easton + Company, Juliana May's Maydance, Sondra Loring and Dancers, and was a scholarship student with the Trisha Brown Dance Company. Brian is currently living in Reykjavik where he is the Fagstjori for the Contemporary Dance Department at the National Ballet Academy of Iceland, Listdansskolinn. At school, he teaches Release and Contemporary Techniques to all ages and levels, as well as Improvisation and Composition. For the past 3 years, in addition to teaching, he has created and toured new works with friend and colleague Steinunn Ketilsdottir. Their work has enjoyed touring 20 cities through out Europe with 60 performance in total. They have been nominated twice for Choreography of the year, first for "Crazy in Love with MR PERFECT" in 2008, and then again for their work "Love Always, Debbie and Susan" in 2010.
