Andrea is originally from Israel, and has also lived in the USA, Japan, Panama and now Iceland. She is trained as a modern dancer in improvisation and release technique. She has choreographed and performed with Momentum Dance Company in Panama City Panama, Inter-Alia (an interdisciplinary and improvisation based company) in Boston, Rebecca Levy, Katri Huitila, Emily Beattie, Sarah Slifer, Mark Dendy, Maida Withers, Antonietta Vicario, among others. In 2005 she produced TRACE, a modern dance concert exploring Jewish cultural memory. She graduated with her BA from the George Washington University in Washington DC and her Masters in Jewish Education from Hebrew College in Massachusetts. Currently living in Skagastrond, she has begun teaching a dance elective at the local school and providing dance once a week to the younger students as well. Excited by introducing these techniques to young dancers she hopes to be able to expand the definition of dance.
