Inga Maren graduated from the Commercial college of Iceland in 2003 and left for London to study dance. She completed her studies with a Bachelors degree from London Contemporary Dance School, The Place, in 2006. Inga Maren has worked as a freelance dancer since and is currently working with the Iceland Dance Company. Amongst those she has worked with/performed pieces by are: Ohad Naharin, Jo Stromgren, Anton Lackhy, Erna Ómarsdóttir, Tinna Grétarsdóttir, Valgerður Rúnarsdótttir, David Zambrano, Bruno Caverna, Willi Dorner, William Collins, Peter Andersson, Ólöf Ingólfsdóttir, Steinunn Ketilsdóttir and more. Inga is a member of the Culture Comp. and Darí Darí Dance Company. Both groups create dance- and video work. Inga Maren also teaches the dance techniques Flying low and Passing through that were developed by David Zambrano, which she studied with in Costa Rica in 2010. She teaches at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, the Iceland dance company and further.
