Ásgerður graduated from The University of the Arts in Reykjavík spring 2009 from Theory and Practise department. practical and theoretical theatre department. She did an exchange at School of New Dance Development in Amsterdam in fall 2008. She finished a diploma in contemporary dance from the University if the Arts in 2006 and a diplmoa in modern dance fron the National Ballet School, Reykjavík.

She has worked with The Icelandic Corporation of Kinetic Development since 2005 and created and participated in four pieces. She received a grant in 2005 with VIgdís Eva Guðmundsdóttir in 2008 to research the situation of dance in Iceland.

Ásgerður is also one of the founding members of the performance festival, artFart, and has been in the production team from the beginning.
